Surrounded by vast gardens and 600 tree-lined hectares which afford a magnificent, inspiring landscape, this is a hotel where you can truly escape.
Erected in 1182 by hermits in search of prayer and well-being, the Hotel Convento S. Paulo is now a refined, comfortable hotel. With many rooms occupying the old cells of the monks, they provide the guest with an atmosphere of shelter and peace. All of the rooms are carefully and individually decorated with antique furniture. The marble of Estremoz in the bathrooms complements the finesse of all the decoration.
The hotel has 2 open-air swimming pools, exquisitely framed with century-old trees and indigenous vegetation, supported by a light snack and bar service. It also has a hard tennis court, which allows the visitor some hours of healthy exercise, which can be complemented by a ride on a mountain bike (freely provided by the hotel).
