This traditional Portuguese inn is ideally placed overlooking the village of Monchique, where the rolling plains stretch out in the distance to meet the sea, with tones of blue and green.
The Estalagem Abrigo da Montanha is built of granite and complemented with wood. The restaurant and sitting room, with its fireplaces, give it a cosy atmosphere with a sense of well being. The public rooms and guest rooms are all tastefully furnished in rustic style.
Outside there is a private pool with terrace decked with sun loungers and parasols. There is also a large dance floor with a bar area. In the summer join us for hot salsa nights under a starlit sky.
